Blessing Like Butterflies

May God's blessings be like butterflies
Full of beauty and joy, quiet music;
Dancing hope of lovingness,
Nourishment for holiness,
Laughter for the soul.

I live in a container I created using the raw material that I draw my
choices and reactions from. Material made from past choices and experiences, mixed with whatever faith I have.

Like the story of the insects in the container, who when the top barrier was removed had the chance to fly beyond it, I have the opportunity to fly beyond my boundaries, beyond the limits I believe are there. Most do not fly away because we do not see past the limits God has removed.

That I see new light is frightening for I do not know what will be asked of me when I fly.
Trusting that God will be there and walking with blind faith comes with
actions of commitment. In the middle of this floats
the spirit, my guide and comfort. There are a lot of stories of Butterflies
giving comfort to troubled and hurting souls as a symbol of joy, hope and transformation.

Showing up in quietly beautiful and subtle ways they become one of the symbolic aspects of God’s spirit and love to me. They encourage me to live with a lighter heart now and look to my Lord and my God
for strength, to be aware in the moment,
that his spirit is joy.

Scriptures used for reflection.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. –Jesus Christ
(John 15:11-12)

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
(Romans 8:15)
